Rachamallu Forgings Private Limited was incorporated in year 1982 with the intention of starting a small scale unit for manufacture of open-die forgings by first generation technocrat entrepreneur Sivaprasad Reddy Rachamallu. The commercial production was commenced during the year 1983 with one pneumatic power hammer (1 Ton capacity). In the initial years the company mainly catered to the requirements of public sector companies like M/s Praga Tools Ltd. (F&F Div), HMT Ltd. (Machine tool Div) and also water well rig manufacturers located in Hyderabad. During the 1990’s, company entered into manufacture of aluminium alloy forgings for LPSC (Liquid Production Systems Centre, Trivandrum) and DRDL. With encouragement from both the R&D agencies ie., DRDL & ISRO of Govt. of India, the company installed all infrastructure and supporting facilities required for the manufacture and testing of Aluminium alloy forgings to meet stringent requirements of Aerospace industry. For the last 22 years, the company is actively involved with indigenization of various grades of Steel, Aluminium alloy and Titanium forgings for both Launch vehicles and Missiles.
The manufacturing facility is located at Plot No. 86, CIE Expansion, Gandhi Nagar, Balanagar, Hyderabad 500037, a well-connected industrial area in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India.

An integrated unit equipped with pneumatic power hammers, hydraulic presses, heat treatment furnaces and inspection & testing facilities to qualify the forgings as per Aerospace and other national & International standards. The manufacturing capacity of the plant is 1000 MT of Steel forgings and 200 MT of Aluminium alloy forgings per annum.
